One shipment brief.
Better comparisons.
Give selected forwarders the same details. Compare the complete route.
For domestic shipments, delivery can be arranged to an agreed address. For international product transactions, we offer delivery to the agreed destination port; the importer arranges customs clearance and onward delivery. A complete brief makes freight quotations easier to compare. We coordinate requests with selected independent freight providers; transport is arranged under the agreed provider’s terms.
From collection
to the agreed destination.
Pickup and inland movement.
Pallets, truckloads and collection from warehouses or suppliers. Specify loading access, appointments, dock or forklift availability and any special equipment.
Containers and consolidated cargo.
Full-container or less-than-container shipments. Confirm origin and destination ports, container requirements, cargo weight and the services included at each end.
Time-sensitive freight.
Air quotes depend on routing, cargo dimensions, gross weight and handling requirements. State both cargo-ready date and required arrival date.
Cargo that needs extra planning.
Temperature control, batteries, dangerous goods, oversized equipment or restricted materials require accurate disclosure and provider acceptance before booking.

Route and scope
Use the same pickup location, destination and delivery basis for each quote. State the named place and Incoterms® 2020 rule if agreed; ask for guidance if the basis is still undecided.
Cargo and handling
Provide packed dimensions, gross weight, package count and stackability. Mixed-size pallets need separate line details. Identify batteries, dangerous goods and any required temperature range.
Charges and validity
Ask providers to itemize origin and destination charges, main freight, surcharges and optional services. Confirm currency, exclusions, validity, free time and potential storage or detention costs.
Timing and responsibilities
Compare estimated transit time and sailing or flight availability. For imports outside Canada, customs clearance, duties and onward delivery are the importer’s responsibility. Customs brokerage coordination is available only in Canada by separate agreement. Confirm insurance and the agreed delivery point. An estimate is not a booking confirmation.
Tell us what needs to move.
Complete one brief for review and forwarding to selected providers. If measurements are estimated, say so. Confirmed dimensions, classification and handling details may be required before a final quotation or booking.

Good transport planning
supports the transaction.
Freight quotes do not establish product eligibility for import or export. Restricted closeouts must follow the permitted destinations and distribution conditions. Cargo insurance is included only when expressly agreed. Customs brokerage coordination is available only in Canada by separate agreement. For imports outside Canada, clearance and duties are the importer’s responsibility.
