Privacy Policy
Clear information about how we handle personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or discuss a trading opportunity with us.
At a glance
We use information to manage enquiries, buying requirements, inventory submissions, accounts, and potential transactions. Optional AI processing sends the source material you provide to our AI processing service. If AI processing is unavailable, you can continue without AI. You can also contact our team directly. Privacy requests can be sent to info@factoryliquidators.com.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy describes how Factory Liquidators Inc. (“Factory Liquidators,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through factoryliquidators.com and related business communications. It applies to visitors, account holders, buyers, sellers, and individuals contacting us.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our services, we collect:
- Contact and business information, such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, and location.
- Account information, including your email address, password hash, and verification and account-management records.
- Buying requirements and inventory details, including specifications, condition, quantities, prices, locations, delivery requirements, and proposed commercial terms.
- Descriptions, files, photographs, links, and correspondence you choose to provide.
- Technical information generated when using the website, such as IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and security-related records.
Provide only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not upload passwords, payment-card details, government identification, or unrelated sensitive personal information. If you provide information about another person, ensure you have authority to do so.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, manage accounts and saved submissions, assess inventory and purchasing requirements, identify potential trading matches, coordinate agreed transactions, and maintain business records. We also use it to operate and protect the website, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Marketing communications, where sent, are subject to applicable consent requirements and include a way to unsubscribe. Service messages may still be necessary for account security or an active enquiry.
4. Optional AI processing
If you choose “Continue,” the description and supported source material you provide—including supported file content and accessible linked-page content— are sent to our AI processing service to help prepare a structured trade brief. Separately entered contact fields are excluded from this processing request, but contact information contained within your source material may be included.
If AI processing is unavailable, you can continue without AI. You can also contact our team directly. Remove confidential or sensitive information that is not needed before requesting AI processing.
AI-generated details may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review and correct the resulting brief before confirming it. An AI-generated result is not verification of a product, counterparty, price, availability, or transaction. our AI processing service processes information under its applicable service terms and data-handling arrangements.
5. Drafts, cookies, and browser storage
Device drafts are saved in your browser’s local storage. They may remain until you delete them or clear the relevant browser data and may be accessible to others using the same browser profile. Attached files must be reattached when restoring a draft.
Account drafts and confirmed submissions are stored on our systems when you save or submit them. The website also uses cookies and session information to support sign-in and security. Blocking these technologies may prevent some features from working.
6. When information is shared
Information may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, email delivery, security, and optional AI processing. Relevant information may also be shared with prospective or agreed trading counterparties and professional advisers where necessary for the enquiry or transaction and consistent with your instructions, consent, or another lawful basis.
Tell us about confidentiality restrictions before submitting material. We will seek any additional consent required before sharing personal information for a materially different purpose. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, including to address fraud or protect legal rights.
7. Processing outside Canada
Service providers and trading counterparties may operate outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access requirements. Contact us for information about the providers involved in handling your enquiry.
8. Security and retention
We use safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Protect your password and any private submission links, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Our retention approach is to keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including active enquiries, transactions, security, disputes, and legal recordkeeping. Retention depends on the type of record and applicable obligations. Backup copies may remain until replaced or removed through the backup lifecycle.
Deleting an account draft does not automatically delete submitted briefs, correspondence, or transaction records. Contact us to request removal of those records.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, request account closure or deletion, or withdraw consent for optional processing. Requests are subject to applicable legal exceptions and recordkeeping obligations. Withdrawing consent does not reverse processing already completed and may affect services that require the information.
We may verify your identity before releasing or changing records. We will explain any applicable limitations and respond within the timeframe required by law.
10. External websites
External links lead to independently operated websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information.
11. Policy updates
We may update this policy when our services or practices change. The published version will show its update date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing a new use of personal information.

Credit applications and freight quote requests
Business credit applications collect legal-company details, authorized contacts, requested terms and exposure, trade references and the availability of supporting financial information. We use these details to verify the business and references, assess creditworthiness, arrange financing or insurance, and manage the related transaction. Relevant information may be shared with banks, financial institutions, credit reporting or assessment agencies, insurers, Export Development Canada (EDC) and relevant government agencies for these purposes. These recipients may verify information and provide assessments under their own applicable requirements. A lender, insurer or credit agency may require its own additional authorization; this form does not replace that requirement.
Freight quote requests collect shipment, route, timing, cargo and service details. With the authorization given on the form, relevant shipment and business contact details may be shared with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics and third-party warehousing providers, insurers and relevant government agencies to verify the parties, obtain quotations, coordinate inventory release, arrange transport and fulfil the requested transaction. Suppliers may receive buyer identity, company and contact details, destination and relevant purchase requirements for verification and fulfilment. Credit reports and financial information are not shared with suppliers or logistics providers unless specifically necessary and separately authorized. Providers may process the information in the countries where the requested services are arranged. Automatic freight quote forwarding includes only shipment and relevant business contact information, not credit-application data. We share only information relevant to the stated purpose. This authorization does not permit unrelated marketing or sale of personal information.
These two forms do not send submitted information to an AI service. Requests are stored in administrator-restricted records; email notifications and forwarding use our configured mail service. We retain information for the request, related business records and applicable legal requirements, and review whether it remains necessary. Contact info@factoryliquidators.com about access, corrections, deletion or withdrawal of consent, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements. Withdrawal may prevent services that depend on the information. Previously submitted applications remain subject to the authorization given at submission; expanded authorization is not applied retroactively. Do not submit bank account numbers, card details, passwords or identity documents through these forms.
